Wi love wi time na dis very special hotel.
Afta plenty research an map study, wi choose it fuh di proximity tu all di major landmarks we any first-time visitor tu London wah wan si.
Di room was clean an comfortable, di staff professional, an di overall ambience lovely. Dis really set di tone fuh wi stay. Di lobby fragrant wid quality scented candles, an dere’s a lovely sitting room an bar. Thoughtful touches like guest umbrellas at di entrance mek exploring more pleasant.
Breakfast a buffet wid plenty choice fuh all tastes an di produce good quality. Yu go find all di makings fuh a full English, as well as fresh breads, cereals, yoghurts, cold meats, cheeses an salads. Di breakfast room carpeted an have comfortable chairs, so it was a pleasant space fuh mapping out wi itinerary ova a few tea or coffee refills.
Di building exterior is gobsmacking, especially when yu view it from di Thames; it’s like a castle. Very grand an impressive. If yu enjoy historical buildings or yu seeking a traditional old London feel, den dis hotel is fuh yu.
Inside, yu go find splendid period details like marble walls an brass finishes, wid common areas retaining old-world charm.
Di rooms modern wid new comforts, like under-floor heating, large TV, an mood lighting controls. Wi opted fuh di standard double room an it was slightly on di small side if yu each have a suitcase plus carry-on bags, as dere are no distinct spots/surfaces intended fuh luggage but wi made do. Wi find di bed very comfortable an spending time in di room was cosy thanks to terry cotton dressing gowns, a coffee pod machine, an proper china teacups an saucers. Lovely.
Di location fantastic. Wi first morning was so easy – wi walk only a few metres from di hotel doors to be right on di Thames, right across from di London Eye. A short stroll further an before wi know it, wi already at Big Ben an Westminster Abbey.
Di closest tube station is Charing Cross an it’s close to so many things – wi walk almost everywhere.
Wi find dis to be di perfect jumping off point fuh first-time London visitors an recommend it highly fuh travellers who wah easy access to all di essential sights, but without di crowds or tourist traps.
Comfortable, classy an excellent value. Wi go stay again!
Parfait location - aging in places, but good at di right price.
Di hotel deh in a good location, central but very quiet. Dere were a few issues wid di building. Mi had a top floor room an dere was obviously a leak at some point from di slopped wall/roof wid di paint bubbling an peeling in di corner. Di carpets aging, wid a large stain in di separate sitting room of mi deluxe king room.
Di corridor smelt damp/fusty pon mi floor. Dere was a large container in one of di corridors to collect dripping water, explaining di smell. Fine once away from dere, but it may have been unpleasant if yu were staying in a nearby room.
Otherwise di room was good. Spacious, clean, well maintained bathroom wid no hint of mildew anywhere.
Breakfast was disappointing. Di orange juice was disgusting, undrinkable. Di apple juice was watery. In a hotel of dis standard mi really expected better. Dere was no dried fruit to go wid di available muesli/granola/yogurt. Di hot food buffet was good. Di breakfast is passable an definitely edible, but not something mi would look forward to.
Fuh di price mi paid mi was happy, not dissimilar to much less spacious, lower quality hotels fuh di night mi stayed. If mi had paid di premium price dis hotel frequently charges mi would not have been happy. But at di right prices it was good.
Beautiful hotel, lovely staff, perfect fuh wah mi needed.
Di property beautiful an have its own history which mi was very interested in. Convenient location an it felt safe as a single female traveler. Loved waking up to sunshine over di London Eye too! Mi could only stay one night an didn’t get to explore di hotel amenities to really experience everything.
