Little Drifter Cairns

Mi had a great stay at Little Drifter Cairns. Di rum was clean, comfortable, an well-kept, make it easy fi settle in. Di location very convenient, right next to Woolworths an di banks, which make everything easy fi access. Wot stand out most was di service during check-in. Di front desk staff was really friendly an helpful — him even help mi wit mi luggage an show mi to mi rum, which mi really appreciate. Overall, mi would definitely recommend Little Drifter Cairns to anyone visiting. Great value, great location, an excellent service.

Can get noisy from oda travellers if dem no considerate. Fi a hostel, di bunk beds each got curtains an dem own private side light. Di windows no open so yu no get fresh air. If dere was a fire in di confusion, mi wouldn’t know how fi get out. Fi dose sensitive to noise, ear plugs work well. Mi ask about hiring a car/van which sleep two, at di time of di year mi went in August, hiring a van an sleeping in dere is a much cheaper an more comfortable option. Di day trips expensive, a van at $59 a day an $30 daily insurance which cover yu for everything was a much better option which mi didn’t know about at di time. Di car rentals an everything else go up in di high season. August is a cheaper time an still warm fi Cairns. Di hostel got kitchen facilities, provide plenty pans, cutlery, cooking oil, salt, pepper, refrigeration an clean bathrooms. Di staff was helpful. Woolworths was very close, so was di water front.

Beautiful refurbishment, amenities an location! Truly di spot couldn’t be better located within Cairns, an fi being a “hostel” style accommodation, it was beautiful an new feelin with great bathrooms, AMAZING showers, an a really well-appointed living an kitchen area. Di design elements was thought-out nicely, an dere was also elements fi fun/social bonding such as games/events/bean bags an more. Mi would definitely stay here again. Not accessible/no elevators so if yu no able-bodied or in a wheelchair, yu’ll need fi look somewhere else. Wasn’t a problem fi us but we would need fi keep in mind traveling with friends. Di cardless/digital keys could be fussy on di bottom/main door. Several people including us had trouble getting it fi work afta check-in. Rooms always worked fine fi Bluetooth unlock though. Di private room being right next to bunk rooms make it a bit noisier, mi woulda thought dem cluster private rooms together? But overall di accommodation did a great job at quiet hours with lights off in main areas quite early, so it didn’t bother us too much but mi could see how it might on a big weekend.
