Top pick
The crew and hospitality, particularly the reception team, were exceptional. The cleanliness and size of the room were fantastic, the breakfast was quite good, and the dining area was also impressive. This hotel is a fantastic option for families. I stayed with my mum, and she was absolutely thrilled with all the services and staff. I reckon this hotel will always be our top pick from now on.
Hidden gem
A refreshing change in the UK. An Asian-owned establishment in London, thus offering excellent Asian hospitality right in the heart of the city. The service was top-notch from the moment I arrived at the front drive. The valet service was superb and quick. I mentioned (not even a complaint) about smoke odours in the room, and I was promptly given a replacement and an upgrade. I received three apologies, even at checkout. However, I was quite fine with it after the switch. The new room was incredibly clean and fresh. The only downside was the mini bar, which wasn’t stocked; there’s a QR code to let you know to store what you like, but after calling to mention it, we ended up paying room service rates, which were double the mini bar prices. Nonetheless, the service was so good that I didn’t mind the extra charge. Other guests might feel differently, so please update the information and process. Overall, a great stay. I’ll be back.
Absolutely brilliant!
The Royal Lancaster is the epitome of service. We were pampered by the entire team from the moment we arrived until the day we left. The hotel itself is very stylish both inside and out. The lobby and dining areas are elegant, and the staff are polished. While everyone is extremely courteous, they are also warm and welcoming. Whenever we called reception to ask for something (usually more coffee... because we consume WAY too much of it), it was delivered within minutes by a cheerful staff member.
Our room was sensational with a stunning view of London and Hyde Park. It was well-furnished and incredibly comfortable. We took advantage of the heated towel racks to dry our towels for the next day. The Royal Lancaster is committed to conservation; reducing water usage is a priority for them, and we commend that.
We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the concierge Sebastián, a true foodie and a lovely bloke. He made several dinner suggestions for us and handled the reservations. Every place he recommended was outstanding. Our appreciation also goes to Ernestas at the concierge desk, who arranged cabs for us, and Vlad, who welcomed us back after our long days of exploring.
Special thanks to Cindy, the guest relations manager, who ensured our afternoon tea in the café was flawless and that we felt valued as guests. She had delightful tea cakes sent to our room several times.
I must mention that the hotel is in an ideal location, whether you’re a first-time visitor to London or a seasoned traveller. It’s not only quiet, but the Lancaster Gate tube station is just around the corner, along with bus stops on both sides of Bayswater. We took full advantage of their excellent location for public transport.
The Royal Lancaster was, without a doubt, the best experience we’ve ever had at a hotel. In a word, Magnificent! We can’t wait to return as soon as possible. Nothing... it was perfect!
