Grand Margherita Hotel

Stayed on the 9th floor. The room and bed size were correct as advertised. As the room I booked offered a city view, I could see the cat monument from above. Hotel is located near riverside. Plaza Merdeka and many shops are just walking distances from the hotel. Check-in was smooth as a receptionist greeted me politely and confirmed my booking very quickly. He clearly stated the direction where I should go to reach the lift. The hotel room that I booked was a deluxe twin room which was clean and spacious. It had a TV that provided access to many free cinema movies and some local channels. Besides that, one can drift off to sleep comfortably in bed with large pillows and bedsheets provided. The bathroom was equipped with soaps, conditioning shampoo, body wash & lotion as well as a haircap and a laundry bag. Therefore, it's hassle-free when taking a shower. Other than that, air-conditioner was powerful enough to keep nighttime cold, but you can adjust the fan power according to personal preference. Actually, the main highlight was the breakfast buffet - I would strongly suggest anyone to include it in the hotel booking! I could feast my eyes first on a variety of dishes that looked really appetizing. Local cuisines including dimsum, rice, kuehtiaw, beehoon, lamb curry, beef curry, and chicken curry. They even had a mee station to serve guests freshly with laksa, kampua and fried eggs. If you are not opting for a heavy breakfast, probably you can grab yourself a cup of coffee and have some croissants, cupcakes and cake slices of many flavors, not to mention porridge and fruit as well. Overall, I would highly recommend to anyone who's still looking for a hotel at Kuching's heart - Grand Margherita Hotel could be right for you!

I had a truly wonderful stay at Grand Margherita Hotel, Kuching. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming, making me feel right at home. The location is unbeatable – right along the Kuching Waterfront with stunning views of the Sarawak River, and just a short walk to many attractions, cafes, and shops. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with all the amenities I needed for a relaxing stay. I especially appreciated the attention to detail and the cozy atmosphere. The bed was very comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep. Breakfast at the hotel was a highlight – a wide variety of local and international dishes, fresh and delicious, with something for everyone. The dining area also had a great view, which made mornings even more enjoyable.

I stayed at Grand Margherita Hotel Kuching for a short getaway while attending a party held in the hotel’s ballroom. The front desk officer was very friendly and helpful during check-in, and even took the time to explain the location of both my room and the event hall clearly. The breakfast buffet was delightful with a wide variety of tasty options. I also enjoyed dinner there, the food was delicious and nicely presented. There was a temporary disruption to the Wi-Fi and IPTV service during midnight until early morning, but I appreciated that the hotel had informed guests about this in advance. The room was tidy and clean, with fresh smell upon entering. However, I did notice that the bath towels had a slightly musty smell, and only bath towels were provided but no face towels. Overall, it was a pleasant stay with excellent hospitality and good food. I would consider staying here again for future visits to Kuching.
