Hotel Bristol Salzburg

I believe this is the best hotel in the best location. The friendliness and sophistication of the staff are beyond compare, and the hotel's classic atmosphere along with modern amenities like the bathtub made for a very satisfying stay. During check-in, the female manager welcomed us very kindly and personally guided us to our room with the key, which was a bit surprising at first, but over time, I think that kindness made me remember this hotel with a good impression. Non-alcoholic drinks (water, cola, orange juice) were provided for free, and although the breakfast was not large in scale, it offered a variety of meats, vegetables, fruits, and baked goods, so there was no lack of options, and we could enjoy a pleasant breakfast with the service of the restaurant staff in a luxurious atmosphere. The hotel's location is approximately a 10-minute walk from Salzburg Central Station, and most bus routes pass through the marketplatz where the hotel is located, making it an optimal location. Be sure to take bus number 25 from the bus stop that is just 10 seconds away to visit Hellbrunn Palace! (Review unrelated to the hotel) After purchasing the Salzburg card at a discounted price on MyRealTrip, you can exchange the voucher for a physical card at the tourist information center located at Salzburg Central Station. When traveling to the hotel, you can take the bus for free and enjoy walking to Mozart's residence/birthplace, the Hohensalzburg Fortress funicular/museum entrance, the Museum of Modern Art at Mönchsberg (actually aiming for the viewpoint), Hellbrunn Palace, and the Untersberg cable car. I believe you'll feel even more that staying at this hotel is the best choice. If I happen to go to Salzburg again, I think I will stay at this hotel! Oh! One thing to note is that the key is an actual key that turns to unlock, so it may be quite heavy and inconvenient compared to a card. However, I thought it was a nice aspect of maintaining the classic charm of the hotel, even if it meant some sacrifices in convenience. :D

The cast of the Sound of Music stayed here while filming the movie for 9 months and feel like I am apart of the movie. It’s the fanciest hotel I’ve ever seen. Love the staff at breakfast and I feel welcome when I checkin as soon as I walk into the hotel. The rooms are big and immaculate. Love the beautiful bathroom and tub/shower. The location is amazing, can walk everywhere or take the bus right out front. The staff in the bar are very dry and I didn’t feel welcomed upon giving them the welcome coupon for your complimentary drink. However I did leave a tip.
