A Luxurious and Memorable Stay — With a Few Drawbacks
We recently stayed at this resort and overall had a wonderful experience. The property is truly luxurious — every detail is designed to impress, from the grand architecture to the lush landscaping. However, it’s worth noting that everything is quite expensive, so don’t expect budget-friendly options.
On the positive side, the resort is exceptionally family-friendly. The kids’ club was a highlight for us — it’s well-equipped, and children over 3 years old can stay there from 9 AM to 6 PM free of charge. The swimming pools are among the best I’ve seen in Bali, and the entire resort is incredibly photogenic. We also appreciated the thoughtful baby gifts we received upon arrival.
Our room was spacious and elegantly furnished in a classic style. Interestingly, it still had an actual old telephone — not a vintage replica, but a decades-old device still in use, which gave the room a nostalgic touch. The bathroom featured a Japanese-style smart toilet, which may not be ideal for families with young children who are likely to press every button out of curiosity.
However, there were a few aspects that fell short of our expectations:
Check-in Experience: We arrived around 10:30 PM, and although there was no queue, check-in took over 30 minutes. The process was unnecessarily slow and could have been more efficient.
Breakfast Selection: While the buffet was extensive, it lacked some important features. There were no halal egg options (as the same pans were used for eggs and ham), very limited meat selections, and almost nothing from Mediterranean or Arabic cuisines. That said, the sushi station and dessert corner were outstanding.
In the end, I found myself relying on sweet pastries for breakfast, as many of the other offerings weren’t suitable for my dietary needs.
Final Verdict:
Despite a few shortcomings, the resort offers a luxurious and memorable experience, especially for families. We truly enjoyed our stay and would consider returning, but there is room for improvement in service efficiency and breakfast variety.
