The Kayon Jungle Resort

The Kayan Jungle Resort offers a truly authentic jungle experience — peaceful, luxurious, and surrounded by breathtaking nature. Our villa was beautifully appointed, blending comfort and style perfectly with the natural setting. The staff were discreet yet always attentive, ensuring everything felt effortless and private. The food was excellent, with every meal thoughtfully prepared and served with care. From start to finish, it was a wonderful experience — the perfect place to unwind, reconnect with nature, and enjoy the very best of Ubud hospitality. Highly recommended.

The view and the activities Everything

We could only stay one night unfortunately, but Kayon Jungle Resort was a must do for us so we absolutely had to stay there even for one night. The resort is absolutely breathtaking and the staff is amazing! Wan-Wan greeted us and immediately made us feel relaxed during the check-in process. We then met our first personal assistant Dewa who was very sweet and went over and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. He passionately told us about the inspiration for the resort, the Hindu story "Ramayana", about Rama and Shintya. This resort truly focuses on a honeymoon experience so it was the perfect place for celebrating our anniversary. There is a beautiful statue of Kumbakarba overlooking the pool and restaurant area. We briefly enjoyed the 2nd & 1st floor pools. It was later in the evening and not crowded so it was relaxing. We had a pleasant and delicious dinner at the restaurant with an amazing live musician who took song requests. The menu was extensive and offered many options for every taste. Service was excellent. We met our second personal assistant, Kris-Kris, the next day. He took care of our every need early in the morning until we checked out. There was a misunderstanding with our in-villa breakfast order as we wanted the floating breakfast, and he rectified it quickly, especially since we were short on time. The personal assistants do an excellent job! We were upgraded to a Premiere Villa which was located at the bottom of the hilly resort so we were aware of how much running up and down that hill they had to do. The villa was gorgeous with the private pool and hot tub. The toiletries and room amenities are high quality and everything you need is provided. The bed is comfortable and sleeping with the curtains closed makes you feel like royalty. The villa is beautifully decorated and furnished, offering that true tropical luxury experience. The video door bell is very practical as it allows for privacy and monitoring of the entry. You can wait comfortably in the villa while waiting to be picked up. Lastly, the location of the resort is perfect if looking for a bit of seclusion and remove yourself from the busy Ubud area. This is the perfect location if you're looking for that serene feeling to decompress and enjoy nothing but time for yourself. We truly wished we could have spent more time there to enjoy but we are definitely returning on our next visit to Bali!
