Centara Grand at Central World Hotel

The hotel was lovely and well located next to Central World. Lots of things to do within walking distance. The restaurants and staff were also well managed and convenient. The food was nicely prepared and presented. Red Sky on the rooftop was a great experience. No issues.

Everything was great Nothing not to like.

As i had 3 young teenagers tagging along, i booked the 2 brm suite. Hotel provided Panpuri (local brand) toiletries in big bottles. When I called reception if I could bring it out of the hotel, I was told a flat NO. Not even to bring out and return it back in the room at the end of the day. Was thinking to bring out the soap when we were planning some activities elsewhere. Anyway, some staff were polite, but I felt some needed more training to be tactful. Perhaps it was a language issue. But all these are minor. We were treated the best at the club lounge by Mr Muek & the rest of his staff there. I tried the general breakfast area, and the staff there were fantastic too. They offer a great spread. Hotel room size is very decent. I have stayed in the normal room before. The 2 bedroom suite is actually 3 rooms combined. Bookings for Centara can be quite full as it has a convention centre. Those leaving for airports, I would suggest leave before 4pm as the traffic is worse than it already is after that. But staying there was for convenience to Centralworld which offers too many food choices & shopping. You may be able to catch some Thai celebrities now and then. It is also convenient to walk to BTS n nearby malls. I would stay at Centara again if there’s availability. Unfortunately it’s fully booked for my August trip. Business is good. Hope they will maintain in cleanliness with so many guests coming n going.
