DoubleTree by Hilton The Hollis Halifax Nova Scotia

I got a pleasant room upgrade. My suite had a large living room with sofa and tv and my bedroom had 2 queen beds. The bathroom is very large and the shower was awesome. Only about a block from the waterfront you can easily enjoy a great walk, shops and plenty restaurants options. I would highly recommend this hotel and hope to return soon.

It was a rainy night in Halifax. We stayed in quite possibly the best location for us. Walking distance to pubs and our restaurant. Welcoming staff member was friendly and efficient. The warm cookies on arrival were such a welcoming touch and very delicious. Room was quiet. View was of the waterfront but Mother Nature didn’t want us to see it. Great stay.

The price reflects the location more than the in-room amenities but the location adds great value--near to good restaurants, walks on the boardwalk, closed to shopping, wine store and takeout food if needed. Weird that we only got three drip coffee packets (2 caf, 1 decaf) for 2 persons in a king size suite! Not sure where this rule came from but think it is overkill. We bought one -cup drip coffee packet from the grocery store next door-- a good find and much stronger than hotel offering.
