The Reykjavik EDITION

This luxurious hotel was a lifesaver for me when my flight home was cancelled. Staying here turned a potentially stressful situation into a really relaxing and magical evening. The building itself is gorgeous, the spa is free to use and has a beautiful relaxation lounge, steam room, sauna, hot tub, and showers. There are 4 different bar areas and a cozy fireplace in the lobby. The restaurant has a sampling of traditional or local foods from the area, and the rooms are really cozy and welcoming. The staff were amazing and helped me with my airport transfer, luggage storage, and were more than happy to help me with whatever I needed. This hotel is right next to the city center and I could walk to all of the main Reykjavík attractions. It’s right next to a bus stop for the airport as well, making the logistics very easy to navigate without a car. Overall- beautiful, luxurious, and easy!

We were stuck in Iceland for 5 days due to a storm and the Edition did a wonderful job. Room was efficient, great and comfortable bed and heated floors in the bathroom! Staff was helpful and attentive. The location is right next to the concert hall near the harbor and was walking distance to many main attractions. Bar was terrific and food in the various restaurants was delicious. Would highly recommend for anyone in a multi-day Reykjavik stay.

Given the brand and the the price we paid, it is just natural to have expectations with this hotel . We were disappointed with the upkeeping as the door knobs were dated and the furniture at the bar on the top floor were quite worn out. The spa is nice yet small and crowded. The food at the Tides wre good though.
