WE WILL BE BACK!
We absolutely LOVED our stay at the Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay Hotel. They exceeded out expectations, in ALL aspects.
Pros:
• location - HONESTLY (not just saying it for advertising purposes, but truly) located right across from Bayside Station (one stop away from DisneySea) there is also a COMPLIMENTARY shuttle to and from the station if walking down the hill with a stroller/ carrying all your Disney bags is too much
• staff - ALL staff (Yes, I do mean ALL staff) ALL STAFF WERE AMAZING! They all made our stay so enjoyable. The bell desk employees high fived our littles every morning. They even helped to load our stroller into the shuttles.
We checked our bags the first day so we could explore the area hands free. They also held our bags after we checked out so that way we could do a kimono photoshoot located AT the hotel.
We also mentioned we were traveling with littles and they offered to push our beds together to make the sleeping situation safer for them.
• amenities - there were so many things to do on NON Disney days at the property. (Indoor pool, indoor play area - for a fee, but so worth it,
mini golf, an official Namco arcade, there was a train to ride on for young children, claw machines, a picture booth, medal games, there was also a flight simulator AND a professional photo studio on property) Due to our schedule before checking in, we were unable to get the kimono pictures we wanted so we were pleasantly surprised to find an actual photo studio that offered kimono AND Disney options.
• elevators - there were enough elevators on property so that we never had to wait for multiple elevators. The elevators were also large enough that we could fit a double stroller, with a wheelchair and 5 adults! In Japan, that's UNHEARD of!
• food service - there were a lot of options on property and 2 mini marts, 1 open 24hrs (unmanned)
• ATM machine & currency exchange!
• laundry facility on site, ALSO on the same floor as the arcade. Easy to keep busy while doing laundry!
• VIEW! - We had an amazing ocean view, and loved it. Others in our party had the park view and they got to watch the firework show from their room.
• AC - the air conditioning actually worked and could be adjusted
• Bed - was so comfortable
• shower- water pressure/heat, great to take a nice warm bath after long Disney days
Cons:
None. Honestly. I've been trying to find something, anything to critique or that may have needed more attention, and I can't think of anything. We loved our room. Loved our stay and we can't wait to be back!
Consistency Good Value for Money
1. Spacious & Comfortable Rooms – The rooms are spacious enough to comfortably fit two large suitcases. They are clean, the beds are comfortable, and the quality is consistent across all properties under this brand, which is great. The amenities provided are complete.
2. Breakfast Options – Guests can choose to have breakfast at any restaurant within the hotel, but each has a strict closing time of 10 AM. The first-floor restaurant is usually crowded but offers a wide variety of food. The second-floor options include a Japanese restaurant, a café, and a teppanyaki place, all serving the same breakfast menu: rice, fish, udon, bread, fruit, coffee, and cereal. The food quality is consistently good across all locations, and the second floor is less crowded. There is an additional charge for children's meals, but payment can be made directly at the restaurant.
3. Dining Hours – If you plan to dine at the hotel's restaurants, such as the Japanese restaurant, be mindful of their operating hours, as they are not open all day.
4. Convenient Transportation – The hotel offers excellent transportation services, with a limousine bus stopping right in front of the hotel for airport transfers. There are multiple departure times, and booking is easy via an app. Additionally, there are frequent shuttle buses to Maihama, with wait times of less than an hour per trip. The buses are punctual, with clear schedules, and pick-up is on the first floor of the hotel.
5. Family-Friendly Facilities – This hotel is fantastic for families with young children. It has a Mini Harborland, a game center, and several family-friendly arcade games for kids to play while waiting for check-in. There are plenty of comfortable seating areas, making it easy to relax if you arrive early and need to wait until the 3 PM check-in time.
6. Additional Amenities – The hotel has a variety of shops, including ones selling Disney-themed snacks. The laundry facilities are well-equipped, with multiple machines in a dedicated room. Other amenities include a swimming pool and a mini golf putting area, though we didn’t use them due to the cold and strong winds.
Clean and spacious room.
Pros: Room is very clean and spacious. There is a well equipped gym and self service laundry where you can download the app and pay using the app. A kids friendly hotel with indoor playground for kids and a game centre. There are complimentary shuttle bus services to JR Maihama station and the Disney Resort Line Bayside station. The airport limousine bus also serves this hotel. There is also luggage transfer services with a fee. But do note that you need to arrange luggage transfer to airport 2 days in advance, and for transfers to your next hotel, one day in advance.
Cons: Sound proofing is not the best, I can hear stomping sound in my room when the guest staying above me walks around the room. Self service laundry is a distance from the the main building.
Others: This is a disney resort hotel without disney theme. So it will be good for those who wants to stay near disneyland but don't want a disney theme room.
