Great location, friendly staff.
Hotel in great location for old town. close access to metro station handy to and from airport. Clean Historical hotel building with very helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast is a simple continental but sufficient.
Negatives, bed very uncomfortable Too hard and lots of noise outside throughout the night both hindering a good nights sleep.

Good location, clean, charming. Soundproofing is disappointing.
The location is great, right in front of Aliados and just 3 minutes from São Bento station. It's in an area with upscale shops and hotels, so it's safe even at late hours. Although it's an old building, the interior has been renovated and is clean. The doors, furniture, and interior layout have a classic charm, but being old, the soundproofing is not very good. The reception is on the second floor, and you have to go up the stairs to access the elevator, so avoid it if you have sore legs or heavy luggage. All the staff I met were very friendly. Overall, it was good.

Great location, comfortable stay!
Great location! Very few would have such corner location. Its a historic hotel, and has its own charm. Room was well lighted, air conditioned, with electric kettle. Nice, welcoming and helpful staff.
