Hilton Hotel Tahiti

A convenient place to stay. There is a bus stop outside. 200xpf fare, taxi is 1600xpf or take a 30 minute stroll into town. Carrefour supermarket across the road linked by footbridge. Excellent swimming pool, freshwater and warm. Food and drink at the hotel restaurants is price, same as London, but no surprise as a lot of things are imported. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room cleaning is thorough. Aircraft noise from airport is barely noticeable. We used this hotel to unwind after 18 hours of flight from uk, before a bucket list cruise in Polynesia. Right decision in a good hotel.

The Hilton is quite new and very beautiful. Its right between the airport and Papeete so location is good, the best part is the bridge that links to the shopping centre across the road, it's small but there are some lovely shops and the supermarket is excellent. Quality of the food in the supermarket was so good we honestly got almost all of our meals there to avoid overpriced average hotel food. We went one night into Papeete for dinner at the food trucks and can highly recommend that too. We booked a king ocean view but our room had huge palm trees in front so we got a palm tree view with a bit of ocean which was ok but a bit disappointing. Room was very nice, modern, clean, great facilities, bathroom was excellent. The pool is gorgeous! We had a fun afternoon meeting people from all over the world at the swim up bar, I wish there was a bit more shade over the pool but we managed to move with the sun to find a few small spots to avoid sunburn. We only had one meal, we got bolognese to the away to our room, it was very average. It's a lovely hotel, good for a stopover but I do wish I had booked extra nights on either Moorea or Bora Bora instead.

The Italian Restaurant Excessive wait time at check-in counter. And we are premier members. The hotel management knows when evening flights are arriving and should staff reception accordingly. I can’t recommend this property for this reason.
