Carlton Hotel Singapore

Great location, very good breakfast and great staff.

I booked this hotel 8 months ago. I was surprised that I got a Premier Club Room for a very good price for a Dec 24-25 schedule. Another surprise, the reception staff ask me if I want late checkout at 3PM which is one of the privilege for club rooms which I immediately accepted. So for the amount I paid, I get welcome fruits, buffet breakfast for 2, club lounge access inclusive of evening cocktails and canapes with all day refreshments, free minibar, free laundry service, late check-out, etc. Plus the hotel is very near churches, mrt stations, restaurants, bars, malls and other amenities. One more surprise, the hotel is not fully booked during this special holiday. Before I booked this hotel 3 years ago, I thought Carlton was one of those old /cheap hotels. I booked MBS, Hotel Jen, Pan Pacific, Condrad, RWS & Mariott but never Carlton. So, pleasantly surprise it was a beautiful hotel the first time I set foot inside this hotel. Maybe need to do some advertising. But it’s ok, I prefer less guests. 😁 The only issue I had during our stay is that it seems the late check-out was never communicated to the housekeeping. Starting 12:30PM, the cleaning staff visited us 3 times asking us what time we are leaving. They even gave me a letter(inserted under the door) to contact reception. Annoying but funny. 😡😂. All in all it was a great stay. Nice room and nice amenities. Staff are also very nice. All our requests was quickly granted. We’ll come back for sure in our next staycation.

Hello! The room was spacious and clean. Halfway through my stay. So many staff are outstanding and make the stay very pleasant. The pretty housekeeping auntie from Shenyang with long hair on the day shift on Monday 16 Feb was very friendly and professional. Viji, the concierge is super nice and on the ball. Remembering to give info on the fireworks, the housekeeping and the room service details and helping with the luggage all with a cheerful demeanour. Impressive and he tries hard. Karin, the lady who checked me in was also very humane and nice. Like the room that she assigned. Will definitely recommend the Carlton to others and it will be on my shortlist to stay again if the need arises. The female call operators are also friendly and have a kind human touch. Can tell that the helpfulness and cheerfulness of the staff reflect the detail the hotel puts in. Have been to other hotels within Singapore like the Millennium group and Accor. Their helpfulness snd politeness varies wildly across hotels. There are mandarin oranges and a hongbao with gold chocolate coins in a classy bag. Very sweet and thoughtful. Room facilities are sufficient. The only shortcoming would be that the morning shift ASEAN room runner perhaps needs a little bit more help with their workload and happiness. Hahaha. However,the other staff I interacted with are very professional and friendly, making the stay relaxing and living up to what the hotel hopes to achieve. Thank you.
