Continue Nijojo Kita

awesome property. in fact it is a new building. all the facilities. perfect location. you can go to the city center or stay inside. the rooms are very clean, each bed has a curtain and quit a big and comfortable bed. I am very happy I chose it!

I've read reviews where they were disappointed so I prepared for the worst but I was pleasantly surprised because the entire experience was worth my money. I simply wanted a clean, peaceful, and quiet space where I can rest after roaming around and I got it through Continue Nijojo Kita. The only 'shocking' thing for me was that there were no elevators so you have to haul your luggage up if you are placed upstairs. But the staff was really helpful because when I went to get my luggage, they already carried it up. Manage your expectations though. There are no 'doors' only curtains separating you from others and it is, in fact, a shared dormitory type room. My roommates weren't loud and were respectful so I had a nice rest. The facilities were clean. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to check the 5th floor common area. The hotel was about a 7-minute walk from the bus stop that brings you around Kyoto so it was fine. There's also a bus stop 2 minutes away. It all depends which bus Google Maps would recommend. Free stuff you can use/get: big towel, small towel, toothbrush with toothpaste, comb, ear plugs, shaver/razor, hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, facial wash/hand soap Over-all, I'd come again if I were traveling solo!

Excellent capsule hotel, especially for a solo traveler. You're allowed to leave your luggage before and after check out. It's about a 14 minute walk from the Nijo train station so sometimes I would rent a bike nearby for really cheap when my feet were EXTRA tired haha. I had a top bunk and the ceiling was pretty high, so it wasn't claustrophobic at all. There are private outlets, shelves, lock box, light control, and mini trash. It was great chatting with the staff and other travelers. Overall, the beds are super comfortable, everything was clean, and the staff was so nice. I will stay again in the future! :)
