Great hotel, ideally located some 10mins walk frae museum area an about 20mins walk intae city centre. Trams an bus stop near by. Staff an service excellent. Restaurant food fabulous an reasonably priced. Good bar/lounge area. Bedroom fine, but bathroom in need o an update - but has everything ye need. Wid stay again.

In the summer, the location is within a residential area alang a canal whaur residents play in the water, creatin a lovely atmosphere that maks ye forget ye're in the city centre. Nearby, there are many supermarkets, shops, an restaurants, wi the Van Gogh Museum about a 10-minute walk away. The tram stop is about a 5-minute walk, an frae there, it taks about 10 minutes tae central station. Once ye memorize the tram lines an the names o the nearest stops, it's quite convenient tae use. By the way, directly across the road is the Hilton Hotel. The hotel itself blends weel wi the surroundin environment, bein low-rise an very tasteful. I didnae use it, but the main restaurant wi a terrace looks chic, an based on the menu, the prices seem reasonable (though a main dish is around 4,000 yen, which is no much different frae mid-range restaurants in the city). In early September, a standard type o room costin about 30,000 yen in local currency is slightly ower 20 square meters an is laid oot functionally, wi a tasteful interior, allowin for a fairly elegant stay. Considerin the absence o facilities like a pool or gym, a 5-star rating on Agoda seems a bit overstated, but ye can certainly feel the satisfaction o a solid 4-star experience. The staff is very kind, but their responsiveness could be improved. For travelers tae Amsterdam for the second time or more, wi a budget o around 30,000 yen for one night, I generally felt it was recommendable.
