Sofitel New York Hotel

Goin' tae a show? Fifth Avenue shoppin'? Like Rockefeller Center or St. Patrick's Cathedral? This is a braw location fur aw o' thae, plus Times Square, Bryant Park, an' the subway is a short walk. The facilities are new, clean an' fresh, great night's sleep an' guid water pressure. Best o' aw, the staff wis friendly an' helpful....recyclable bottles an' hydration stations on each floor. We'll definitely stay there next time we are in toon.

Our stay wis great, frae check in tae check oot. The staff is extremely friendly an' helpful. Room wis very clean, spacious enough an' remodeled. Maybe a real expresso machine instead o' the coffee maker in the room wid be nice :)

We found a deal on Agoda that wis significantly cheaper than bookin' direct. Although skeptical that the bookin' wis gonna be valid the reservation wis seamless. The hotel is close tae Times Square just a few minutes walk an' located doon a quiet street away frae the hustle an' bustle. The lobby is absolutely beautiful an' we found aw dealings wi' the staff pleasant, they were friendly an' helpful. Although the hotel room is dated (looked the same as when I stayed there 20 years ago) it has been impeccably maintained an' made fur a comfortable stay, so I wouldn’t be tae concerned aboot comments that the rooms are dated. The bed is showin' its age an' although I slept weel it wid be great tae see the hotel invest in them tae get them up tae scratch wi' ither Sofitels I have stayed in. Strangely the fridge in the room wis broken which appears tae be common in this hotel efter readin' ither reviews. No really up tae standard fur a hotel o' this level especially bein' in a one bedroom suite that can cost thousands tae stay in an' also missin' wis a kettle or coffee machine which wis unusual, I can’t remember the last place I stayed that didn’t provide this. Overall due tae the rate I managed tae get I found value in my stay, if I paid the hotel rate I might have preferred anither hotel. If ye are lookin' fur a hotel close tae Times Square but in a quiet area I wid recommend stayin' here. Lastly although I’m aware o' ‘destination fees’ in NYC hotels there wis nae mention o' this on checkin' in an' whit benefits I could obtain, so I found absolutely nae benefit tae this durin' my stay.
