Lovely Hotel, great location, fabulous facilities
The hotel was beautiful, in a really good location with transport links nearby. They also offer free luggage storage, which we used on the last day. On checking in, they gave my daughter a rubber duck, which she loved. At breakfast, they gave her an activity pack too. The breakfast had lots of vegan and gluten free options. The room was huge, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The table and sofa and chairs were useful, as was the fridge, wine glasses and desk. The tv was huge and so was the bathtub. There was also a lovely shower and the toiletries were nice. We also had bathrobes and slippers included, which was another nice touch. They also provided a free toothbrush for my daughter as we had forgotten to pack hers. The swimming pool and jacuzzi were great too. The pool was only 1.2m deep, so made it easier for my daughter, who is not the most confident swimmer, however there is no lifeguard, so bear that in mind. The pool is a lot smaller than it looks in the pictures too.
Could do better!
We did not discover until day 2 that there was another lift we could use because 2 other lifts were not functioning causing excessive wait times going to and from the room. Checking in was uncomfortably slow, very few check in staff and each check in took far too long causing a very long queue. Bar staff were not very engaging and were slow, 15 minute wait for a bowl of nuts! Check out staff member very rude, snatched my room key from me and sent us on our way no courteous “goodbye”, “thanks” nothing said at all, this was rude. However, the staff at breakfast were extremely helpful as were the concierge staff. Overall this hotel has a lot of potential but needs to do better!
