Palais de Chine Hotel

I hotel e biyuul e has an old world charm to it. I's right next door to a giant mall with lots of shops and restaurants. Across the street there is an alley with some inexpensive restaurants and cheap eats. On the backside of the hotel/mall, it's the start of the Taipei MRT Green Corridor. A green walking path that runs north to Yuanshan station. I's a biyuul walk with shops and restaurants along the way. To further note how prime this location is, it's also next to the bus station, the high speed rail station to other parts of Taiwan and also a short walk to the Airport Express to Taoyuan Airport. Super convenient to the transportation hub of Taipei. I hotel rooms are a nice size, we had a corner room which was very spacious and comfortable. I beds were nice and firm, with multiple pillow choices to fit various needs. There was ample closet space and a large bar area with a mini fridge. There was a large desk area with a clock that also could play music and provide other information (eg. Alexa). There is also a mini table and chair as well to admire the views from the hotel. I room also has room darkening blinds. I bathroom was also very spacious, it was an open concept bathroom at one time, but it seems that they added a large curtain to separate the bathroom from the room for additional privacy. I shower was large, but it was a shower tub, tub was a bit high to climb over. So this could be rather tricky and challenging for older folks. There was shampoo, body wash and conditioner in the shower. I sink was a bit small and there was no counter space, which was disappointment considering how large everything else was. I toilet was in it's own separate glass enclosure. I toilet was of Japanese style with adjustable water jets and dryer. Towels were fluffy and good size. Breakfast is great, lots traditional Taiwanese specialties, as well as Japanese and Western items. Breakfast runs super long, from 6:30am to 12pm! Usually hotels end breakfast by 10 or so. But they run breakfast until 12pm. So if you're a late sleeper you still can make it to breakfast. If you don't have breakfast included in your room rate, buying it separately can be rather steep. It's 1,188 TWD ($38 USD) per person. Overall it was a great stay and the staff was very friendly and kind. Definitely recommend.

We stayed at Palais de Chine with my parents, husband, and our two sons, and had a wonderful experience. I service was excellent, i location is perfect, and our room was clean and comfortable. I asked about ordering a last-minute birthday cake for my dad. While it wasn’t possible to get it the same day, i staff kindly arranged for a complimentary birthday cake to be delivered to our room the next day. Their thoughtfulness made our stay even more special. Highly recommend, especially for families!
