Dubai International Airport Hotel

I was traveling from Ho Chi Minh via Dubai to the USA but had a 22-hour layover. I realized this was way too long to just hang around the airport so looked at options to either stay in downtown Dubai or find a location at or near the airport. I elected to stay at the Dubai International Hotel because of its gate side which meant I would not waste precious time going in and out of security! It was also in the same terminal as both my arrival and departure so made for a seamless experience. I booked at the last minute (the day before in Vietnam) and while I knew where it was, I was also going to navigate getting my sister and niece on their 2-hour transfer to Terminal A. On arrival at Dubai as I exited the plane I saw my name on a board with a guide to take me to the hotel! This was a pleasant surprise (I had not seen the email that mentioned this was a possible perk!). Not only did my wonderful guide take me to the hotel but he also gave my sister and niece a shortcut route to their transfer gate. After they departed, he escorted me to the hotel, ensured my check-in was seamless walked me to my room, explained how to exit to the food courts and duty-free wished me a pleasant sleep, and told me to call him if I needed anything. A lovely experience. My room was amazing. Incredibly quiet (not a sound from the terminal), was superbly equipped in terms of tea/coffee/kettle, and refreshments, and the bathroom and shower had everything you could need for a layover. The bed was so comfortable and the room had its AC so I could adjust as I needed. I slept like a baby for several hours from 5.30 am to 2.30 pm, woke refreshed and relaxed. Had a beautiful shower and refreshed and made tea and coffee while watching the movie channels (lots of English options). I went out of the room twice (quietly and not a sound in the corridors), got some food and fresh coffee, and enjoyed several movies while I waited for my gate to open at 1 am! My gates were literally 3 minutes walk from the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel. The cost is worth every dollar because you have all the comforts of a hotel, your room, TV channels, facilities, and everything you need. I was able to complete work on my laptop in the afternoon and enjoyed walking the length of the airport to get some exercise (I did not want to unpack for the gym or pool as I only had hand luggage). I will use this hotel on any long Dubai layovers (and would even plan it that way for the comfort and convenience of proper sleep) and will use Agoda again as they offered the best price and I saved over $140 by booking with their special deals. Between Agoda and Dubai International Airport Hotel, this was an amazing experience and one I'll repeat in the future for both value, comfort, and a great experience in Dubai without even leaving the airport (I've already been on vacation in Dubai so hence it worked well for me)!

Although mostly for transit passengers, we decided to stay here as we arrived at 1am and didn’t want to wake our family up in the middle of the early hours. We were told Emirates would keep our luggage until the morning and they certainly did. We were met as we came off the plane by a hotel staff member with a name board. He took us to the hotel and helped us with checkin. He and the other staff were excellent!! The room was big and was as clean as it gets. Lovely bathroom and shower. The location is so good - you come off the plane and are there in a very short time (this is for T3 passengers). Will definitely make use of it again.

This stay was perfect for our transit before our next flight. After 14 hours of flying it was a great way to have a rest before travelling to next destination. We were met at the gate by a friendly and polite staff member who took us through to the hotel reception. The room was clean, well presented and had good amenities and a very comfortable bed. We had access to all the duty free shops and food facilities. Room service is also available. Will be using again.
