Hyatt Regency Kinabalu

I checked in with concerns because there were quite a few bad reviews, but... surprise! It's awesome!!!! My worries were completely unfounded!!!! Two of us stayed, and the room was incredibly large, the bed was soft, the linens were very clean, and above all, the bathroom was tidy, which I appreciatedㅠㅜ I checked in with a city view, but the weather was so hot that I kept the curtains closed, so the view wasn't really important to me haha. The air conditioning was so strong that it was chilly inside the hotel haha. The reason to use a 5-star hotel is that while cleanliness is important, the service seems to be the best part👍👍 Everyone at the check-in counter was friendly, and the staff who took care of our bags and the doorman were very kind, making me feel protected! The doorman opened the door for us, carried our luggage when we took a Grab, and watched over us when we received delivery food👍 I ordered delivery for dinner, and I felt uneasy because the delivery person seemed a bit odd, but a big doorman/security staff helped me receive it😆 When it rains, you can borrow umbrellas at the hotel, and on the day of check-out, the hotel spa is free to use, so I could take a shower before heading to my evening flight, which was nice🤍 It was convenient to leave our bags before and after checking in, and when I arrived around 10 AM to drop off my bags, they checked me in immediately. Normally, check-in time is 3 PM, but they said they would contact me as soon as the room was ready if I left my phone number. While I was out shopping after leaving my bags, they contacted me that the room was ready, so I could check in before 12 PM!!! There's no early check-in fee; it feels like the unique service of a 5-star hotel. Truly amazing💫 During check-in, they asked if I would like breakfast. I had to go on a island tour early the next morning, so I opted for breakfast, which cost about 55 ringgit per person and was decent! The breakfast buffet felt like it had a variety of international foods, including rice, bread, noodles, meat, fruits, desserts, etc., and for that price, it felt very fair... The only downside was that the air conditioning in the breakfast area was so strong that you definitely need to wear long sleeves when going to breakfast! Korean dramas are available on the TV in the roomㅋㅋㅋㅋ There is no freezer, just a small refrigerator, and there is a very big desk that looks like it's for work👍👍 I loved this place so much and I want to come back here next timeㅠㅜ The location is not far from the city center, so you can walk to famous restaurants within 10 minutes, and there are several shopping malls nearby, making it perfect👍

All Wifi not working

Very nice and warm staff. Check-in was a breeze. The in-house restaurants serve good food and in-house guests get 10% off their bill. Be aware that there's no fridge in the room. No kettle or coffee provided, but it's not a big deal for me. The room is big. It could do with some touch-ups, but I'm very happy with the facilities in the room. Bed and pillows are very comfortable. Gaya Street (lots of food outlets) is nearby, as well as Suria Sabah shopping mall (better than Imago mall, in my opinion) And the hotel is only 15 minutes from the airport. KK has no public transport system, so it's best to use Grab if you want to venture out. I highly recommend this hotel.
