The Palace Hotel Kota Kinabalu

We stayed one night yesterday after attending cousin’s wedding ceremony which was held in the Hotel. We were welcomed by a friendly receptionist during check-in and the check-in process was very fast and easy. Upon entering the room, i am very happy to see the high level of cleanliness and the atmosphere are very classy and elegant and we felt comfortable right away. My husband requested praying mat during Maghrib prayer and the housekeeping staff sent them to our room short after. Breakfast selection was also good and my kids really enjoyed their foods. We get the chance to swim and relax by the swimming pool. Will stay again here soon with my family and thank you for everything.

This is my second time staying here, and I would definitely recommend it to others. The location is excellent—very convenient and easy to access. The hotel's design truly lives up to its name, The Palace—elegant and beautifully styled. One highlight for me is the in-room TV, which is up-to-date and can play YouTube seamlessly—something many hotels still lack. The food is decent, and the dining area is clean and well-organized. Most importantly, the staff are very friendly and welcoming, which really enhances the overall experience.

I recently stayed at The Palace Hotel Kota Kinabalu and overall, I had a really great experience. The first thing I noticed was how peaceful the surroundings were, it's located slightly uphill and surrounded by greenery, which gives it a relaxing, resort-like feel even though it's still close to the city. The check-in process was smooth, no deposit for one-night stay, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. My room was clean, modern, and cozy, with all the basics I needed, comfortable bed, good water pressure in the shower, and even access to YouTube on the TV (would be nice if got Netflix too). Facilities like the gym and pool were well-maintained, and I appreciated the eco-friendly vibe of the hotel. It’s nice to see a place that puts effort into sustainability without sacrificing comfort. The only minor downside for me was the breakfast selection, it was okay but could be improved with more variety. There's no Nasi Lemak also🤭. All in all, I’d definitely recommend The Palace Hotel if you’re looking for a quiet, comfortable, and convenient stay in KK. It's a hidden gem that gives you good value for your money. I’d happily come back again.
