Family of 4; 2 adults & 2 children
3rd Dec 2025
We arrived from Genting Highlands, a 1-hr taxi ride. Cost us RM130 with a receipt. Book your taxi at the Sri Highlands Taxi counter located at the Premium Outlet Station, Genting.
The Hotel & Surroundings
Berjaya Times Square is a unique all-in-one complex in Kuala Lumpur that combines a shopping mall, an indoor theme park & a hotel. The hotel sits on the west wing & opp the hotel is the enchanted Lala Port. Upscale mall with many places to eat, shop & play. A 10-min walk will take u to the famous Bukit Bintang, a fabulous shopping strip that has malls around & the many signature restaurants & eateries that lined the road. The famous steak house, The Ship & the everbest Nasi Ayam Hainan Chee Meng are my favourites. KL Monorail, Imbi Station sits in front of Berjaya Times Square.
Check-In
We arrived early & the room was not ready. Front desk staff were all smiles & very warm, nice first impression. Left our luggage at concierge & went to the Arab Hadramot Restaurant, just outside the drop-off lobby. They had some of the best middle-eastern food & shisha; closes at midnight. We came back an hour later & the room was ready. Thank you.
Room
The family room was big & spacious. They had 1 king bed, 1 double-decker bunk bed, a lounge seat by the window, 2 seaters & a center table. TV was large enuf for everyone & there were many channels. The pantry came with snacks & minibar. We got 4 drinking water bottles on the pantry & another 4 in the fridge. The fridge also had soya bean & chrysanthemum canned drinks, snacks & drinks all complimentary! The coffee & tea making set came with a kettle. I was more than impressed. The beds, linens, pillows & towels were clean & fresh.
There is a work table to place ur laptop & stuff. The bathroom had 2 areas; one for shower/bathtub & another joining door for the toilet.
We had an issue with the bathtub drain plug which was unable to be opened. The maintenance guy came & replaced the drain plug in 15mins, wow! The AC worked fine & all lightings were working, kudos everything worked! The cupboard had a safe inside, hangars, bedroom slippers & a hair-dryer. There were also an iron & ironing board in the room.
Facilities
There were many things to do in the hotel, the swimming pool & the restaurants sat on level 14 & 15. The fitness corner was on the same floor as the pool & there were 3 outdoor pools; 2 for kids on both ends while the adult pool was at the center. There was a bar counter at the side, Poolside Gazebo. They also had a spa, Vita Spa.
Breakfast was on level 14, a big spacious restaurant with many dishes & drinks available. I was truly fed by good food & good hospitality of the staff & cooks. The cutleries & plates were good with a very professional mise en place on the table.
This hotel had two lobby entrances. One is the straight service road for the main Times Square building; no drop-off here. The other entrance is the drop-off lobby where all guests arrive & nearest to the concierge counter. This lobby faces the side road where there were many eateries, a 24-hr convenience store, barber, shoe store & what nots. If u smoke, this is the stretch u hang out.
Oh, there is another entrance from the mall which is inside the lobby that goes straight into Times Square Mall; this door takes u into another dimension, a dimension that will take your money, lol!
Times Square Mall is such a good place for everyone, that’s on another story on my review.
Staff
Hotel staff were friendly, helpful & professional. They truly serve the Malaysian hospitality during my stay.
I am overall happy with my stay.
Thank you Berjaya Times Square Hotel for making my stay a good one…
KL weekend stop over
When in KL we stay in various hotel or occasionally ABNB but always return to Time Square hotel.
Staffs are friendly and helpful.
Being a ova-lacto vegetarian, here is a eating heaven for us. The breakfast buffet is fully vegetarian with options of egg. You can get all the local famous foods serve in vegetarian version including Nasi Lemak, Lasak, Roti prata etc. It can get busy during breakfast time but the restaurant is big enough to accommodate the crowd.
The location is centrally located in KL most popular area. Though I have not use the pool, it look nice and good.
The price is value for money for it location and come with Breakfast.
The room itself though old (can't complain for hotel bulit decades ago) , still clean and comfortable. I don't realize the need to switch on the shower heater but a call to the desk, staff politely ask me to check if Heater switch located outside on the wall of the washroom is turn ON.
Probably luck, we get a free upgrade from superior room to deluxe/premium room twice for our 4 visits in 3 year, with one room has a nice view in twin tower and KL tower.
One negative is the TV program is subscribe under something call S-Vision, which contents are not at all good, lack of Chinese program and no sport channels. My last stay here I remember there were 2 ASTRO sport channels if I am not wrong.
Definitely be back.
