St. Giles Mid Valley Kuala Lumpur

It was our first time staying at this Mid Valley area. We usually stay at Bukit Bintang area. But this time, we decided to change area. Having just checked out from a terrible experience at another resort, we were very hopeful for a better stay here. Upon arrival, we were greeted by confusing signages which did not lead us to the hotel. This left us frustrated. I had to come out a few times to ask the staff at the various mid valley lobbies for direction on where the lobby was. Our booking was for St Giles Gardens Hotel. We booked via Agoda. Agoda, please update yourself that St Giles Gardens Hotel is being renovated! Bookings for Gardens Hotel will directly go to Gardens Residence, which is at a different lobby! Fortunately, the Gardens Residence staff at the concierge was so helpful. He allowed our car to reverse in safely to assist us with our booking as I told him we had been going round in circles and not reaching our destination. He assisted us with our luggages and advised us on what to do. He looked after our luggages while we searched for parking lot.(I'm sorry I didn't get your name) Parking lot is shared with mall. Unfortunately, it was so full and again, we had to spend almost 30 minutes looking for a lot near enough to our lobby. *Check-In* Was smooth, duty manager, Irwan was very attentive to our requests. He explained to us patiently why we ended up in Gardens Residences instead of Hotel. Explained about the free usage of the lobby facilities, such as microwave, availability of the complimentary snacks, tea, coffee and plates and cutleries as well as microwave should we need to heat up food bought from outside. Even explained how to get to the mall.Very warm and friendly service. *Room* Our 2 bedroom unit was at level 19. Nice city view. Well cleaned and spacious room with balcony.Comfortable beds and pillows. Well cleaned toilet. All of us loved this room. *Check-Out* Check out was a breeze. Fast and no fuss. Duty Manager Irwan was on duty at concierge this time. Having heard about our saga of getting lost and going on clueless rounds upon arrival and check in, he provided us with specific and precise instructions how to get back to the lobby from the carpark.

We stayed as a family of six - one senior and three active kids - and this apartment was absolutely perfect. The space was generous, with two ensuite bedrooms, a large balcony, and even a sofa one of our kids slept on comfortably (extra blankets provided). The kitchen was well-equipped and practical (though a cereal bowl would be a nice addition). One of the best features was the free self-service laundry available on every floor (just need to buy your own detergent), plus a drying rack on the balcony - super helpful for a family with kids, especially in Malaysia’s hot, humid weather after long days of activities. The location was ideal - strategically in the middle between family attractions like Sunway Lagoon, Zoo Negara, and Genting Highlands. It’s also less crowded compared to the city center, which made coming and going much more pleasant. We didn’t take the hotel breakfast, but there were plenty of food choices just downstairs, with great cafés and restaurants nearby. My mother really enjoyed the swimming pool every morning, and I personally appreciated the fully equipped gym. Room service cleaning was prompt, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only minor inconvenience was a short wait to have the safe fixed. The TV could use more channels, but that didn't affect our stay. There’s also a nice lobby with free-flow tea, coffee, and snacks - great if you have time to lounge, though we didn’t get to use it. Overall, it was a very pleasant and well-thought-out stay for all ages. Our kids loved it, my mother was happy and comfortable - and we will definitely be back. Thank you, St Giles Residence!
