The Marmara Taksim

Stayed in this hotel for 9 nights and I absolutely loved staying here! First of all, everyone was so friendly and welcoming the minute you enter the hotel. Fortunately, my room was available when I checked in, I even got an upgrade. Thank you to the front desk agent who assisted me, I forgot his name but it started with the letter D. Then, Hassan, the bellman assisted in my room and my family loved him so much! He's the best. He was so helpful. He even helped carry my luggage across the hotel to make sure I won't have a hard time carrying them. Thanks Hassan! We also want to commend Ahmet the concierge for making sure we were comfortable and enjoying our Istanbul vacation. He suggested a lot of good restaurant recommendations and even helped book our spa reservations. The spa was a good experience. I had a nice masseuse, Yeni. All in all, we're so happy we booked this hotel for our Istanbul trip.

This was my first time booking online, and I liked that the price was shown in TL, with no indication that charges would be in euros. We arrived very late, and I had booked an extra night to avoid waiting for a late check-in, so I didn’t ask for an early check-in or any special requests. However, I was disappointed that they didn’t offer to upgrade us to two separate beds, which I had hoped for. The receptionist (I can't recall her name) was repetitive and didn't offer any helpful solutions. It was a bit frustrating, and I felt her attitude was somewhat insincere. Although I could have given a much harsher review about her, I decided not to because there were other genuinely kind people. I’d like to thank Mr. Ercan, the bellboy, Mr. Celal, the security staff, and Mr. Serkan, as well as the two receptionists who assisted us with booking breakfast at Çırağan Sarayı. They were all friendly and professional. I also repeatedly asked the receptionist to communicate with me in TL, but she kept insisting on using euros. It was frustrating, and I regret booking this hotel through your website. Overall, though, the other staff members made the experience more pleasant.
