Doubletree by Hilton Vancouver

We have been using website that review pet-friendly hotels. We tried another in the area before and found it ... Lacking. But this time we came here. It’s a bit further from our family home but still reasonable. We were happy to be surprised by how nice the whole place it. Wr signed up for the Hilton Honors program on the spot and enjoyed a decent early breakfast buffet, as well. It isn’t fancy, but the rooms are clean and big and the rest of the hotel is easy to navigate. The staff are all very nice and helpful, too.

There was no sofa in the room so I couldn’t get relaxed on sofa. Parking was full so I parked behind the building. At the front desk I asked if it was OK but it was not so I had to move the car again. There should be clear instructions but nothing.

When I had arrived, their whole system was down, mind you it was across the country, however they threw in a “free” breakfast but you had to be up in time to get it. I spent over an hour and a half in the lobby and didn’t get into my room until 2am. So of course I’m going to choose rest after driving all day! So the next day I reached out to see if they would do an additional night to compensate me for my time and energy and they their manager Jessica said because it was a nationwide thing we aren’t going to do anything because we offered you free breakfast. Lol what a joke. On top of that the couch in the room was gross, it was peeling and same with the ottomans. The lady working the front desk was great, she was so stressed out and I was very polite as I know it wasn’t her fault, I had no issues with the front desk lady.
