NH Collection Plaza Santiago Hotel

Real gut location

Hotel en una inmejorable ubicación, limpio, seguro, personal muy atento. El problema es el estacionamiento; nunca hay nadie cuando sales o retornas después de la hora. Con eso resuelto, la experiencia seria mas que memorable.

When I arrived to NH Collection on December 8 to check-in, I was told they didn't have a room available due to a flooding issue and that I would be sent to another one of their hotels located 2.5 miles away in a residential area. As I stood there, trying to understand what was happening, two gentlemen walked in and checked in without issue. I asked how they were able to check in when I was just told there were no rooms available, but the women didn't respond. I then requested to speak with manager, who she connected me with over the phone. When I asked him about the flooding, he said he didn't know why the women told me that. When I asked if they had overbooked, he vaguely confirmed something along those lines. I booked the room 8 months in advance with Agoda (and provided a credit card), and I was shocked to learn they had given it to someone else. The hotel they relocated me to was an unfamiliar area, and I wasn't comfortable with the location. I had initially booked with Agoda, and just 5 days earlier, I had stayed at the hotel as part of a tour group. I had even stored my luggage with them while I went on a 3-day trip to Easter Island, Chile, so they knew I would be returning. The situation ruined my last days in Chile. I told them I would be taking legal action, and the next morning they found me a room and arranged transportation back to the original hotel booked with Agoda, which they had previously claimed had no available rooms. The whole experience was incredibly frustrating and disappointing.
