Museum Apartment Hotel

Spoiler alert - the guys at Museum Apartment Hotel are going to treat you well. We stayed a night to celebrate a family milestone, and had planned to do a few things in the city during our stay. I emalied ahead and told them about it, while requesting if we could check out late. When we got to the room , there was a bottle of wine and some chocolates, together with a note congratulating us on the milestone. Very sweet, we thought, that was a cool unexpected bonus to a cool and unexpected experience. The hotel is near the Te Papa museum, which meant it was near the nightlife street of Wellington, Courteney Place. There was a New World grocery, restaurants and a heap of other stuff nearby. Going back to the hotel - We loved our room because it was spacious and had a few artsy pieces that did help remind us that it was, indeed, a museum hotel. It was quite well fitted with amenities for longer term guests - think dishwasher, cooking hob, toaster, kettle, refrigerator, and washing machine. What got our jaws dropped was the jacuzzi inside our bathroom. A tub woud have done it but having bubbles while relaxing privately was such a plus for us. The lobby was a real feast for the eyes - it was lined with paintings, sculptures, a motorcycle, and a life size bull made from corned beef tins that was hard to miss. We're looking forward to the next time we come back, and are definitely recommending the place to friends visiting Wellington.

Highly recommend, located in a fantastic part of the city opposite the museum. Spacious, clean and facilities second to none. Staff were extremely helpful. Thank you

Service and facilities excellent. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Dishwasher was not working - unfortunately house staff did not know how to get it working properly. Fan speed on AC was not adjustable from full speed even though selector showed it was reduced to minimum. Neither of these were major issues.
