Royal Plaza on Scotts Hotel

We had another exceptionally pleasant stay at Royal Plaza on Scotts from October 20th to 27th, 2025. This second visit was even better than the first, with the Suite providing a spacious and comfortable experience, complete with a pool and city view. A highly appreciated amenity was the provision of a health faucet in the washroom, essential for many international travellers. The housekeeping staff was diligent, maintaining a spotless room daily, with prompt service even past midnight. Amenities and bottled water were consistently refilled without fail. The dining experience, particularly the hearty breakfast at Carousel, was a major highlight. The variety and quality of food were outstanding, featuring delicious made-to-order omelettes, succulent chicken sausages, creamy scrambled eggs, and a fantastic array of Malay dishes like Nasi Lemak (with its flavour-bomb sambal), crisp prata, and tangy fish curry. Chinese chicken congee and delectable pastries, including flaky butter croissants and almond croissants, also impressed. We also thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon tea and evening bites in the lounge. The British High Tea experience was complete with scones, clotted cream, and varied sandwiches, while the evening offerings featured scrumptious bangers and mash, vegan pasta, and delightful cakes. The staff truly elevated our stay. Ms. Dyanna, Mr. Aziz, Ms. Seri, and the entire housekeeping team were polite, helpful, and attentive. A memorable gesture for our wedding anniversary, arranged by Dewi and Erfan, included a thoughtful handwritten note and celebratory cakes. Ms. Dyanna even generously provided extra in-room murukku snacks for us to take home after we expressed our liking for them. Overall, we had a beautiful and memorable time. For the great benefits and services, Royal Plaza on Scotts is a 10/10 from us, and we will definitely return without hesitation.

Location, friendly staff

We stayed at Royal Plaza on Scotts over the weekend to celebrate our anniversary, and it was truly a delightful experience from start to finish. After a thoroughly enjoyable high tea at Carousel, we proceeded to check in and were warmly welcomed by Mariz, who greeted us with a smile. The check-in process was smooth and personal—Mariz asked if we were celebrating a special occasion, and when we mentioned our anniversary, she kindly upgraded us to a Premium category room. We were genuinely touched by this thoughtful gesture. It stood in stark contrast to the indifferent service we’ve encountered at other hotels, even on special occasions like birthdays. Our room was on a higher floor and was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. We were particularly impressed by the cleanliness of the bathroom—no signs of mold around the bathtub or shower area. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, with plenty of space for larger luggage. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we both had a great night’s sleep. Amenities were also thoughtfully provided: a Nespresso machine with three complimentary capsules, tea and coffee-making facilities, six bottles of mineral water (with half kept in the minibar), and even an iron and ironing board. We also appreciated that the room was Muslim-friendly, featuring a prayer mat and Qiblah signage—a rare and considerate touch we haven’t seen at any other hotel in Singapore. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would gladly return for another special occasion. The service was warm and memorable—the staff are truly a gem!
