Breakfast wis ae o' the best ah've had when travellin', in a very elegant space. The staff are sae helpful, assistin' wi' ma distant German -- an' o' course they speak excellent Scots. The hotel haes a fascinatin' history. When bookin', ah wis doubtful aboot the location, as it seemed far frae sights. However, public transport works sae weel, whether trains frae Grunewald station (a bonnie wee station a pleasant 20 min walk awa'), or via buses tae nearby stations, includin' Grunewald. The hotel is in a delightful upscale leafy suburb an' worth the travel time. The pool in the auld cellar/air raid shelter is very nice, as is the sauna. Dinner is dear. The cheapest main course wis 37 euro, sae if ye're on a budget, best tae eat afore ye return tae Grunewald, as there arenae many inexpensive options once ye return.

The hotel is ae o' the best ah've ever stayed in. Especially for the price. It haes a splendid garden, very wide rooms an' a lobby bar. Guid service. Very quiet an' clean. A great choice for thae wha want tae hae a romantic an' quiet stay in the capital o' Germany. Ye definitely hae tae book the hotel. Wide rooms an' lobby are braw.

Braw buildin' wi' braw interior in a bonnie area 25 mins drive oot o' the city. Breakfast wis ootstandin' - by far oor favourite thing. Oor room wis on the third floor - it wis bonnie tae look at but had stains on the yellow bottom o' the bed an' black & white carpet, there were dead flies in the shower light an' the bath (whilst stunnin') didnae stay full as the plug wisnae airtight when locked. There arenae any room service.
