The People Paris Nation

Ah used it for aboot 40,000 won per night. First off, the accommodation is richt next tae the Nation station, and there are a wheen o' bakeries nearby, which wis braw. Hooever, there is the downside that ye hae tae tak the subway tae the centre o' Paris for aboot 20-30 minutes frae Nation station. Personally, ah think it’s fine, considerin that if ah didnae book accommodation in the very centre o' Paris, ah'd end up spendin the same amount on transport anyway... The accommodation had a very quiet atmosphere and had curtains. There wis a storage cabinet below, but ye hae tae bring yer ain lock. It wis guid that a 24-inch suitcase fits comfortably, but it wis a wee bit annoyin tae lay it doon tae put it in. The bathroom is separated by gender and the shower room is inside the bathroom. Usually, warm water comes oot weel, but sometimes when it rains, warm water disnae come oot... Also, many o' the shower facilities were a bit broken, so there were only one or two decent stalls. There is a hairdryer inside the bathroom, and there was enough space in the shower room tae hang clothes or towels. There is a rooftop café + bar on the 6th floor, and guests o' the accommodation can bring their ain food and eat there for free. Ah bought bread frae a nearby bakery in the mornin and ate a lot there. Also, there was a big supermarket richt next door, which wis great. The downside is that the rooftop is only open until 10 or 11 o'clock, so efter that, there’s nae place tae eat at the accommodation. The coffee and drinks sold there are quite expensive, so ah recommend buyin them outside if possible. Ah went in winter, so ah couldnae sit outside much, but ah think it would be really nice tae sit there when the weather is guid. The Eiffel Tower is also visible, albeit small.

The 4-bed dormitory room where ah stayed wis weel-maintained, evidently new, with comfortable beds. Hooever, the air conditionin wis a major issue, with the fan runnin at full speed and nae way tae reduce it. It felt like havin a vacuum cleaner next tae ma ear. The view o' the square wis fantastic! The rooftop restaurant is excellent for breakfast, offerin great views o' both the square and the Eiffel Tower in the distance. Overall, the accommodation wis pleasant. Ma main complaint is that the hostel isnae particularly designed for travelers who want tae socialize with ither folk. The only meetin place is the rooftop restaurant, which is set up mair like a traditional restaurant. There's nae ither common space. Be prepared for additional costs: ye hae tae purchase everythin, includin a lock for the locker. Towels are no provided either. Ah wouldnae say this hostel has the best atmosphere; it's mair suitable for folk who dinnae want tae socialize much. In summary, while the facilities are nice, this hostel lacks the social vibe typical o' many hostels.

Perhaps because there are long-term guests, the room felt a bit stuffy and had a smell. There wis a hair dryer in the bathroom, but durin peak times like the evening, it stops workin efter one minute. Ah checked another floor, and it wis the same, which wis a bit inconvenient. The shower room is small but has several units, so it's no too bad. Ah also liked that there's a restaurant on the tap floor; ye can just go there tae sit and relax. It's nice tae hae beer and snacks, but ah remember the usage time wisnae very long, so make sure tae check that! There are staff available at the check-in counter 24/7, and a' the staff were nice. It's only aboot a 3-minute walk frae the subway station, and there's a large supermarket and a small café richt next door. There's also a plaza in front o' the accommodation, alang wi nearby restaurants and an ATM. It's a guid place for a long stay, but it's a bit far frae the main tourist attractions. Hooever, because it’s cheap and offers great value for money, it compensates for that. One inconvenient point is that there's nae kitchen. Ye can tak food tae the restaurant on the tap floor tae eat, but durin dinner time, there are many guests, and there might nae be enough seatin, makin it disappointin since ye cannae cook.
