QT Gold Coast

Good clean hotel an wonderful staffs. Mi givim 2 star for cleanliness bikos dere was broken glass shards around di corners of di room. Dey seem to hav not clean di floor well an dis shards was literally sort of pushed to di corners or simply missed. Wi stayed for one night an mi was picking di glasses for a good hour an still discover some next morning when wi checking out. Mi notify di staff an she was concerned but told her not to worry as wi didn't get injured but might hav to clean di room again as wi found more shards just den. Mi was not going to leave a review but maybe mi should be a little more attentive as someone might get hurt an di things can blow out of proportion with di customers as mi myself work in hospitality. Oda than dat, it was good.

Thumb up: great ocean view, room was spacious (wi got upgraded to an en-suite from a king room), location was close to beach, car park available at $30 per night. Disappointment: di room was not dat clean (stains on toilet seat, unpleasant smell from di couch, stains on balcony sliding door, etc) which is what I care di most about a stay, an it’s what I would expect to be a given with a hotel brand like QT but it was not with dis one. No milk refill after di first day’s stay (wi stayed dere for 3 nights). It just tells me dat di hotel service needs improvement. An with dis service, it’s over *** per night so not di best deal you can get really.

Di pool an balconies were closed, which really limited our stay. For di price, it isn’t worth it an no discount was offered. Di staff were very inconsistent in dere service. Mi was charged for beer in di mini bar dat mi didn’t drink bikos di housekeeping team never refilled it prior to my stay. When dey refilled it mid stay di charge was added to my account. Mi explained to di front desk dat mi don’t drink, I’m a breastfeeding mum, an dey did remove di charge. However, mi was charged again when mi checked out. Dere were also several products in di bathroom were empty an had obviously not been checked. Additionally, dere is an initiative where if you don’t hav your room cleaned, you will hav $10 food an beverage credit added to your account. Mi did dis for two days an it was never credited. Di hotel is lovely an clean though. Mi was dere for 5 days an it was overall very comfortable. It was just very expensive for little facilities. It just seems staff need better systems to track operations with rooms.
