Nice boutique hotel in Ueno
I had a pleasant stay at the hotel and chose it because I wanted to explore Asakusa and Ueno parts of Tokyo. The room was clean and fresh and had good amount of amenities. The hotel has a rooftop onsen which I enjoyed. Especially the staffs were extremely helpful. I managed to forget my phone on the taxi from the train station, and the front desk staff went over and above to help me from calling up the station to calling my phone via app, and thankfully I got my phone back. Superb hospitality and a great experience!
The hotel is a bit of a small walk to public transportations but it helped me with staying active :)
This is seriously the best accommodation in Tokyo.
The journey from Narita Airport to the Kin Hotel took about 15 minutes by Skyliner. I heard that the beds in Japanese accommodations aren't that big, but two people had enough space when we tried the Japanese style. Above all, the cleanliness, tidiness, and restrooms of the accommodation were really impressive! I stayed for 3 nights and there was also a time in between for cleaning. The lobby on the first floor provides one ramen per person, wooden chopsticks, and bathrobes. There is also a vending machine right next to it! People say the location is a bit unclear, but when going from Ueno to the accommodation with heavy luggage, I found it a bit ambiguous. However, there is Inaricho Station nearby, making it convenient to use the metro pass! The Ginza Line, Asakusa Line, etc. are available, and it’s great for going to places like Shinjuku, Shibuya, Roppongi, Asakusa, Akihabara, Omotesando, and Harajuku.
Excellent
solo lady traveler here: very small but clean room in a quiet hood with a small grocery store across the street and different convenient shops around + subway stations. the staff didn't tell me there were 2 complimentary water bottles in the fridge, i arrived late and spent the night thirsty. the safe was also 'hidden'. i couldnt sleep w those pillows and rolled up a large towel.
my major complaint is about the a/c unit right above the bed.
if you don't mind traveling 40min to shibuya, this hotel is very easy to reach from Haneda airport. it is very close to Sensoji temple too but 'far' from Ginza, Shinjuku and other areas. also they can't keep your luggage for more than 1 day in case, you are leaving Tokyo for 5 days before coming back...
